Seven Weird Things Meme
Sunday, December 16, 2007
The Chaplain has tagged me with the Seven Weird Things meme. Here are seven random facts about me:
1. I was in the Rocket Club in sixth grade (big nerd sign).
2. I can't whistle, although sometimes I will whistle accidentally.
3. I have trouble remembering names. Sometimes I forget the names of my family members.
4. Stock (Matthiola) is my favorite flower.
5. I skipped my senior year of high school, but then spent 5 years in college.
6. I don't have a favorite color.
7. I was born in the same hospital as my mother, brothers, and sister. My father was the transplant then. Now, we're all transplants.
And I tag:Evolutionary Middleman

Hey,I just read some of your posts and I truly liked your blog.
Actually I'm from Iran and I write in Persian in my own blog and probably you won't understand a word if you visit my blog but anyway I liked yours.
I'll come again;)
Good luck.

I don't have a favorite color either. I like different colors for different purposes.

I've always thought that was why artists tend to wear black. Not because we're moody weirdoes, but because we assign so much meaning to colors. Just as you, Chaplain, have different colors for different purposes, I think there's a plethora of ideas that rush an artist's mind when choosing colors. Hell of a way to start your day, even before getting any coffee, to weigh the ramifications of what the colors of your clothes choice for that day will say, so it's much less thought and stress to wear black.
I couldn't for the longest time whistle either.

Nerd Alert! LOL! Yes, I can just see you in the "rocket club". Thanks for crossing out "Evolutionary Middleman". You are starting to know me too well. I had actually considered doing this one. Brian tagged me for it last week over at Primordial Blog.
But... well. You know me!

I crossed you out because I saw that Brian had tagged you. :)

Yasaman:
Thanks for the compliment. I wish I could read Persian! I could probably use BabelFish or something like that, but the translation would probably be poor. Thanks for reading!

Hey, like so many other commenters here, I don't have a favorite color, either. I enjoy drinking red or white.

I crossed you out because I saw that Brian had tagged you. :)
Good. I'd rather hurt Brian's feelings than yours! :)

I've been thinking about this ever since I saw you tagged me.... Thinking of seven weird things about myself is no problem, but seven weird things about myself that are interesting? That's a bit more of a challenge... ;^)
I like what my friend Sister Mary Lisa did when she got tagged for this meme twice! :D

C.L.: Hahaha! That was a great idea!

chaplain: Yeah, I like different colors for different purposes too. And when I'm in different moods I tend to like different colors as well.
Philly: That's an interesting thought. I never thought of someone thinking of colors that much. I have enough trouble trying to pick out clothes that match to worry about the colors too much. :)
Ex: At first I was thinking "milk and cheerwine?" before I realized wine. Yeah, I'm a little slow today. I prefer reds except for a good Riesling.

Well see if everything is black, then everything matches. That makes getting ready in the morning pretty quick and easy. ;)
I've mostly moved past the color thinking hurdle by only thinking of torso color as relevant.

You know me pretty well. But, apparently, you don't know Ex as well as I know him! :)
