Blog Template Update

Nelson Primus (1843 - 1916? ) "Portrait of a Lady (Lady with Golden Hair)" Oil on canvas 1907
I decided it was time for a new template. I still like the old one, but I've lost most of the vintage text and theme in the upgrade to the new Blogger.
I wanted some sort of "girl" theme since the blog is titled "tales of an ordinary girl," yet I didn't want anything sexy or young teenage-girly. Not that there's anything wrong with a sexy theme, but it's not what I want for this blog. It was difficult to just find an ordinary girly (womanly?) theme. I hope you like the new look. Let me know if there are any problems with any of the images or links.

I love your new look! It makes this one of the more distinctive blogs that I've come across on the net. Very good work!xw

I don't know how I managed to type "xw" at the end of that last comment, but please just ignore it -- typos.
Also, I should have added that I find the art in your header fascinating.

I tried to grab a template with this image, but it was html instead of xml, so I fit that image into this template. I read on the internet that the image was from designchapel.com and lo and behold, when I went to their site (#83), I found the image, although it was modified for the web template.
I really love the Rejected Nun picture that doesn't show the face (#74), but I feel bad about this picture now knowing it's someone else's artwork.

The thing that bothers me still about the page is how the text looks after a quote. It's like it changes font and doesn't change back. I've looked in the template, but I can't figure out how to fix it. It was an issue with my old template too.

And as soon as I posted I found a fix. :P

Looks good, but it doesn't seem to display correctly in Firefox... everything is pushed down.

I did that intentionally because the black text over the picture wasn't readable.

There's an awful lot of blank space to the right of the title image. It looks like something's missing, while the main articles are pushed down as if they aren't very important. I am deeply troubled by this. Now, artistically I'm just a cave man, but what if you shrank the artwork so that it fit into 1/3 of the space and moved the title text more toward center? Also, hyperlinks are indistinguishable from ordinary text, which is known to cause heartburn in sensitive individuals.

I'm more interested in learning how to have numbered comments. Any ideas? I found some code online, but it doesn't work with blogger. It'd have to be xml/css to work.

Hmm. Me just cave man. In Paleolithic we blog about friendly spirits. Paint with berries in BASIC.
10 CLS
20 PRINT "GOOD SPIRITS"
30 PRINT "PLEASE BRING MEAT"
40 PRINT "AND WOMEN"
50 PRINT "THANK YOU"
60 GOTO 20
Caveman wonder if ordinarygirl can treat comments like numbered list. Me not know how to do this to metal box with internet.

Basic code is not allowed to have only one GOTO. You must honor the all powerful Flying Spaghetti Monster with spaghetti code.
