One of my co-workers is a far, far cooler photographer than I can dream of being. She plays around with all kinds of equipment I can only dream of owning. Anyway, she took me out a couple of weeks ago to capture a few sites.
We found an old graveyard in the middle of the suburbs. I don't know if a church used to be on the site, but it looked like they were getting ready to move it or build a subdivision around it.
Then we visited the horses and a nearby barn.
Some of the pictures seem a little over-processed to me, but I liked the results enough to keep them.

Nice photo's. There is an English chap that takes pictures of haunted houses, very heavy on atmosphere and extremely over processed, just can't think of his name atm.

You're BACK!!!
Great photos. What an opportunity...stay on her good side :) No, but seriously, you can learn soooooooo much from other photographers. I always wished I had a mentor or someone to guide me along the way.
Did you get the TRA actions? A couple of those looked like Old Skool to me!

Wow, you guys showed up quickly. :)
I don't know if I'm back, but maybe I'll post from time to time.
Kyle, these are PW actions. I have CS3, so they don't all work quite properly, but they create some neat effects.
Thanks for the well wishes and everything. Sean, if you remember the name, let me know.
Thorum, you'd have to convince Ex to get us back together.

Old cemeteries always make me sad. I read those old inscriptions from the 1800s, and I think about the people that are buried there. I know I want to be cremated, and hence I'll have no marker for my life. I think, who'll remember me, or think about me in 150 years? At least these people have that, some afterlife of sorts. The only one they get.
Sorry to sound so maudlin, but I liked the pictures. ;)

SI, that's exactly how I feel. I remember last year when I was visiting my sister going by an old graveyard and thinking how much we try to live on through the things we leave behind. But eventually we are all forgotten. Even fame doesn't guarantee immortality.
It's sad, but maybe that's why I don't mind death so much. I know that we're only a spec in time as far as the universe goes and eventually we'll be completely forgotten. It may not sound pretty, but it's reality.

Nice photos. I hope you'll post more soon. I especially liked the horses, but I'm a sucker for animal pics.
