A Week of Sun July 23 - 29, 2008

Tuesday, July 29, 2008

Dedicated to my husband, Matt, this week. For all the times he sat patiently waiting when I ran out of a restaurant to take a picture of the sun setting.

When I thought back about the pictures from this week I couldn't think if a single, interesting picture. I blame it on the weather. It's hot and humid. A haze hangs over everything. Even the thunderstorms are lackluster, like they just can't get going because it's too damn hot.

Anyway, there were some decent shots, so I was pleasantly surprised. Next week will be better. I hope anyway, if the weather decides to cooperate again.

OG - you sure did have some winners there. Particularly liked number 3, which I'm sure Chileana Mama will agree on.

WOW. Haha, John, nope, sorry #3 wasn't on my top picks. I liked 1,4 and 5.

Oh, and now I read your comment. Yes, I wholeheartedly agree with #4. :)

O.G. have you thought about investing in some serious camera equipment?

Evo: Thanks! That was my favorite too this week. :)

Mamacita: I think I should learn Photoshop first before I worry about camera equipment. It'll be next year, in any case, although I'm hoping to take a digital camera course in the spring too. I think a tripod would go a long way towards making my pictures better. I have so many blurry pictures in low light that you guys never see.

This morning it was foggy and I wanted to take a picture without flash so that I caught the foggy trees in the background and not the droplets of water in the air. It took forever to get a good picture without flash and I still won't be sure how they look until I upload them to my computer. They look fine on the camera screen, but the screen is so small that sometimes pictures that look good on it are blurry when I look at them on my computer screen...

    I know, TMI!
