The 4th was pretty good here, but our BBQ was disrupted when the Federal Loyalty Police raided our spot to check that we were wearing American flag lapel pins and had a flag displayed outside.
The ATF usu usually does these inspections, but since 9/11, the FLP operates independently of the ATF to preform these inspections in Kansas, but this was the first year it happened While I has around. But it was cool, we had our stuff together. OG's husband talked for all of us, and after they saw our pins and the flag, they moved on to the next house.
We had a good time!
