It's difficult to see because of the flash, so I can completely understand. I uploaded a second picture below with Jupiter artificially brightened (it was only four pixels large) and circled. It's still hard to see in the regular view, but if you click on it you'll see the larger view.
I should have tried that shot without a flash. I still need a tripod.
Mamacita: I'd love to upgrade, but it's not going to happen for a few months at least. I was hoping we'd sell our house and have a little bit to spend on luxuries, but it didn't happen. However, now that it's rented we have some income coming in when it's not eaten away by maintenance costs. Maybe after I pay off my car that will be a little "reward".
Any suggestions on a good, not too expensive dslr?

I love these posts that you do! have you ever thought of upgrading your camera? you'd probably have a lot better luck with one of the dslr models.
