Sunrise

Thursday, December 20, 2007

This was the sunrise that greeted me yesterday morning.

I almost forgot what sunlight looked like. It's been so dismally gray for the last couple of weeks I was surprised to see the sun comes out in the winter. More snow again on Saturday, supposedly, but it should be a light one.

    Stunning pic. :)
Wonder if there is any chance of you coming over to Wordpress? I really like your blog!
This blogger not allowing us to leave our wordpress sign-in is bugging me!

Nita, you have to set up your blogger account, just as I had to set up one on Wordpress so I could auto-sign comments even though I blog on blogger.

Great photo! So much sky. Not so much sky here, and we've been without sun for most of the month, too. Snow? I remember snow. We used to get a lot of snow here, but not any more. I remember snow there when I was a kid. Monstrous amounts. It was awesome.

I took another picture this morning from the same angle that I'll post tonight. It's a completely different sky.

Love it. Much better than the "clear sky" in your following post. "Dramatic" indeed.

Believe it or not, lately in L.A. it's been either rainy and cold or crystal clear and cold. Tonight is rainy again.

Phillychief, I have a google account and that's how I am signing in now. But earlier there used to be a space where I could put the url of my blog, but now I am forced not to.
Bloggers from Blogger are allowed to write their url in a box provided so if you comment on a wordpress blog, clicking on your name leads the reader to your blog.
Blogger does not allow this anymore. I think this is most unfair!
Sorry OG for diverting from the topic!

You can read all about it here:

Wordpress users are talking about it!

    Nita,

As I said earlier, you need to create a Blogger account. Once you do, then you won't have to enter your password each time and you can have your url appear. Also, you can have a snazzy avatar appear, too.

I, as a Blogger blogger, still created a Wordpress account so that I don't have to repeatedly enter a password and my url each time I comment on a Wordpress blog and so that I can have a snazzy avatar appear.

So what's the problem? Should I be crying about how I HAD to create a Wordpress account? Should I be yelling about how Wordpress is like Big Brother or trying to take over the Universe? None of the conspiracy theory crank comments by Wordpress users makes any sense.

Phillychief, but I don't mind entering my url everytime I comment on a blogger blog. But now I can't do that unless I create a blogger account!Blogger users certainly do not need to create a wordpress account. OG doesn't have a wordpress blog, but if I click on her name I arrive here. That was my point.
Anyway, it doesn't matter. It's just that I rarely go to Blogger blogs now for this reason. The reason being that I cannot type in my url. Thanks.
