Ben Radford at DeVry November 21st

Monday, November 05, 2007

I received an email from the Midwest Skeptics Society today. Ben Radford of the Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal (CSI) will be at Devry University on Wednesday, November 21st at 7:30 PM.

The Truth About Ghosts and Ghost Hunting
We have all seen ghosts in film and on television, from Poltergeist to Medium to Ghost Hunters. But how much of that is real and how much is fiction? What does science tell us about ghosts? What kinds of evidence are offered for the existence of ghosts, and how valid is that evidence? Scientific paranormal investigator Benjamin Radford will discuss several case studies of his ghost investigations, including the Haunted Santa Fe Courthouse mystery he solved in June 2007.

I saw Ben at Dragon Con as part of the Skeptics 101 Panel and I really enjoyed hearing him. I'm hoping to go. Anyone else in the KC area plan to go?
