update: customer service resolution

Wednesday, June 14, 2006

I sent an email to B&N after writing my post earlier. They just responded that they canceled the order (it still hadn't updated to shipped). Yay for some sanity. I immediately went to Amazon and ordered the same item again with free 2 day shipping. It's guaranteed to get there by Friday. Now they may have the same problem with getting copies of the book. But at least they'll let me cancel if there's an issue.

Hey give them a break, it was Flag Day after all! Their warehouse is prob in PA, as this is the only state in the US that observes Flag Day as a state holiday. I called 2 offices in Pittsburg today and they were both closed because of Flag Day. Remember, these are the same people that you see on the Hardees philly cheesesteak burger commercial, you know the subtitles? LOL no wonder...

I have no idea what Mr. Venjanz is talking about--personally, I don't believe in Pennsylvania. And Flag Day is just another TOOL from The MAN to keep people from burning precious polyester or nylon or whatever petroleum-derived hydrocarbon product they make flags out of these days. If I were going to burn a flag, I'd burn one of those pastel flags with a cartoon frog or butterfly on it, the kind that old people fly on days when it's not Flag Day. I don't know what all this has to do with Barnes & Noble's custermer service practices, but I'm sure they hate us just as much as we hate them and vice versa... wait, that didn't make sense.

    Never Mind.
